Presentation Summary

Have you optimized warehouse operations?
Get connected...with improved warehouse productivity and increased profits

Improving inventory control.  Doing more with less.  Saving space.  Improving customer service.  Controlling labor costs.  Sound familiar?  In a recent survey of Wholesaler-Distributors these topics were frequently named as being top concerns.

In a February 7 webcast leading warehouse expert Ken Ackerman shared how the "lean" thinking applied in mass production can provide lessons to reduce waste and move toward perfection in the warehouse.

The concept of "lean" has roots in mass production.  The original lean techniques were limited to mass production of a highly standardized product such as the Model T Ford.  In contrast, warehousing is not mass production - it is a service.  And with few exceptions, warehousing volumes are not massive, and they very seldom are standardized.  However, given the differences between warehousing and production there are still significant opportunities to apply lean thinking to a distribution center environment.  Click here for webcast replay to learn how to improve your warehouse productivity by applying lessons of eliminating waste, focusing on flow, perfection and more...
